Meeting on Davis-Besse Relicensing

On Saturday, July 16, Joe DeMare of the Green Party will be hosting a meeting in Bowling Green to update interested folks on the status of the on-going fight against the Davis-Besse relicensing. This meeting will be held at 1 PM at 517 S. Main Street, Bowling Green, Ohio.

There is an abundance of new information about the state of nutrients in the Great Lakes and the Missippi River Basin. Some quick stats are : 42% of the phosphorus comes from point sources – wast water treatment plants. 26 % comes from fertilzers. The Maumee contributes 36% of the phosphorus to Lake Erie
